Bieber just cried a little.

Okay, a few things to explain this video:

It’s a gem I happened upon while watching videos of Take That’s “Progress Live” tour. The dance-off takes place during a performance of the song “Kidz”, which, by the way, was styled, choreographed, and executed so brilliantly I almost cried. (This video doesn’t do it justice, so I beg you to ignore everything except one specific part.) Dressing the guys in black and/or white, seating them in elevated thrones around the stage, dressing the dancers as chess pieces and turning the stage into a chessboard? Completely fucking genius.

Anyway, I had to use this video because (despite the fact that it’s a video of a video screen) it’s the only one that allows the viewer to see at least 75% of each dance move. The sound quality is absolute shit – but hardly the point.

Robbie Williams is rapping his hit “Rudebox” while the dance-off occurs between fellow TT members Howard Donald and Jason Orange. (Who, by no coincidence, happen to be the masterminds behind most of the group’s choreography.)

The reason I titled this blog “Bieber just cried a little” is quite simple: just watch the dance-off, focusing on the guys in all-black and all-white. Then remind yourself that Jason Orange (in black) is 40 years old. Howard Donald (in white) is 43.

Skip to 2:50 for dance-off (it ends about 4:50).

It’s ok, Justin. Even a mentor like Usher Raymond, the American God of Dance, can’t make you the best. Go kiss your Disney Channel girlfriend and remind yourself that every pop star is fat and irrelevant by 40 anyway.

Oh. Wait…
